Government TV shows a jam-packed Rizal Hall (the Ceremonial Hall), crammed to the rafters with local government officials and the diplomatic corps, for a black tie affair, the Independence Day reception. It’s absolutely chocful o’ people. If you exploded a bomb there right now you’d put an end to 60% of government corruption in one fell swoop.
The President is expected to speak. The Governor of Bohol will read a manifesto of support for the administration from local government officials.
There will be no independence day parade tomorrow.
