We learned in school how the word “bayan” has been used to call small communities, town centers where people flock to for trade and social activities. Now, it has evolved to this institution that is our country, our nation. But when the people of a nation go out of their country, when they choose to work or live in another place, how will they continue to relate to being a “kababayan?” Paano natin pag-iisipan ang konsepto ng “bayan” kung wala ka sa Pilipinas?
