Police are outside the gate of San Carlos seminary, asking to get in, ostensibly to inquire as to the circumstances surrounding a mysterious white car with an Armalite (M-16) inside. The police continue to plead for the public’s and Ong’s, cooperation. Susan Roces says the issue isn’t about politics.
Just in: bishops have arrived at the Palace and are meeting with the President. No word on how many or who the bishops are.
Apparently, also, protesters trying to go to the US Embassy were thwarted. But this begs a question -the truest believers in the colonial order are those who proclaim themselves the most anti-colonial of all.
This is getting scary.
